ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a seasonal Sous Chef to join our Beach Club Food & Beverage team. The Beach Club Sous Chef is responsible for managing day to day operations of the Beach Club Snack Bar and Beachside Grill. This position may also be assigned additional Food & Beverage duties as per business needs. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Beach Club Sous Chef must complete all tasks and assignments as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or Beach Club Chef Manager, including but not limited to:

  • Assist in the hiring and training back of house staff on new menu items,menu descriptions, and kitchen procedures
  • Conduct andparticipate in daily pre-shift meetings in order to answer staff questionsdaily
  • Execute dailypurchasing according to par levels, ensuring invoices are being codedappropriately and stay within budget
  • Work with BeachClub Chef Manager to oversee Receiver position
  • Maintain sanitationlevels in Culinary Department, performing regular audits in accordance withclosing lists
  • Develop and updatematerials to keep information up to date and to continue the improvement ofBeach Food service for the following season’s team


 WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Previous experience in Sous Chef position strongly preferred
  • Valid Food Handlers/Sanitation license
  • Must have strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
  • Must adhere to all WCC guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members, management team, Members and guests
  • Must have ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Must have ability to work on feet for extended periods of time, lifting and moving boxes up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be able to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Working primarily in and around the various Beach Club Food & Beverage outlets and within Beach Club Chef office.

 PAY RANGE

$24.00-$26.00 hourly compensation, commensurate with experience
