ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring for seasonal Security Officers to join our Summer 2024 Beach Club Security team.
The Security Officer is to provide a safe and secure environment for members, guests, and employees of the Westchester Country Club. This goal will be accomplished by providing professional and courteous service to satisfy the needs of all Members and Guests which include: patrols, parking enforcement, writing incident reports, conducting investigations, fire safety awareness, AED/C.P.R.(Club will train), emergency response, and basic First Aid assistance.
This opportunity is available for: seasonal Full Time, seasonal Part Time, and per diem shifts
Shift Hours: Evening shift, 16-40 hours/week
Start Date: 5/10/2024
End Date: 9/29/2024
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Security Officer must complete all tasks and assignments as assigned by the Security Operations Supervisor, including but not limited to:
- Maintaining a visible and physical presence while on duty so that all club activity can be monitored at all times to preserve order and protect property. Assist in all Security related situations
- Must be flexible to meet scheduling needs including weekends and holidays, and special events such as 4th of July. Start date does not include training before season starts
- Patrol club property to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure. Follow up on all suspicious activity via written report or notify supervisor
- Compose clear concise incident reports for any accident, injury, rule infraction, property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or suspicious activity
- Observe, document and report all safety hazards
- Provide assistance in various ways including opening/locking doors, responding to all fire alarm activations and investigate complaints, and providing basic first aid assistance to injured parties on club property when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Prior experience in a security or similar role preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members, management team, Members, and guests
- Must possess the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask
- Must be able to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays and special events as needed
PAY RANGE
$16.00-$18.00 hourly compensation, commensurate with experience
