JOB TITLE: Beach Grill Attendant
COMPENSATION: Non-Exempt (overtime eligible), hourly compensation, $15.00-$15.77/hour commensurate with experience
Please note: Per New York State law, in order to be legally authorized for employment, all Minors must obtain and provide their Student General Employment Certificate (Working Papers) prior to beginning their first day of employment and to be kept on file for the duration of their employment.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for serving food and beverages (non-alcoholic) at the Beach Club’s Beach Grill. This position requires a hands-on, professional attitude and impeccable customer service skills to ensure Members are provided efficient and friendly service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet customers, provide excellent customer service, fulfill orders, operate cash register
- Take food order at register, operating Jonas system accurately and efficiently
- Clean according to the highest sanitary standards, including but not limited to: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning walls, tables, counters, service equipment and the general customer area, trash removal
- Deliver orders in timely fashion
- Assist in plating food items for service and assist Culinary team as needed
- Support other crew members, and assist when necessary to ensure that customer orders are received and processed in a timely fashion
*Crew members should be adept at multiple roles of responsibility and may not always function in the same role or schedule each day

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive demeanor are required

- Carry out all reasonable requests made by Beach Club Chef,
- Impeccable sanitation practices
- Minimum age requirement: 14 y/o per NYS Department of Labor Minor Law guidelines
- Ability to read labels and understand HACCP and MSDS material/training guidelines
- Must be able to communicate and interact professionally with Members and employees in English language
- Able to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule throughout summer season, including weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL, SENSORY AND MOTOR DEMANDS:
- Able to multitask and operate in a fast-paced, high stress/high pressure environment (Heat and Action)
- Frequent standing for extended periods of time
- Regular lifting
- Frequent walking to collect or deliver goods in various kitchens and reception areas
- Reliable transportation is a plus
- Excellent physical fitness, visual acuity and sense of smell to work safely in Kitchen environment
