Racquets Shop Coordinator

Please be aware that this is a FULL-TIME + BENEFITS position. The schedule includes weekends and holidays. 


Our Racquets Shop Coordinator position is a service-oriented job primarily geared towards giving our members, their children, and their guests an enjoyable, carefree racquets experience.


• Daily interaction with Members and their children to schedule classes and attend to their retail needs

• Management of Racquets Reservation System

• Manage all emails and phone communication for the Tennis/Squash Shop

• Interact with Tennis/Squash Professionals and Staff and be available to assist them as needed

• Tennis & Squash shop monthly inventories and office management support duties as needed

• Assist with maintenance of Squash or Tennis Courts if needed


The successful candidate will possess the ability to competently handle questions regarding the Club and Racquets program, understand scheduling, sales, and a willingness to accept tasks that assist the Tennis/Squash professional and his staff in enhancing the Racquets program. He/She will maintain an upbeat and courteous attitude at all times.

 In addition, other key expectations are:

• The ability to multi-task, e.g. handle telephone, lesson/court schedule, and sales

• Basic bookkeeping skills, attention to detail, ability to prepare routine administrative reports

• The ability to adapt and react to the fluid pace of daily activities

• Racquet sports experience is helpful but not essential


The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory, and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.

Education and Experience: 

• Minimum High School Diploma, College Degree preferred

• Some retail sales experience 

• Racquets Experience through play in either Tennis or Squash required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: 

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Windows Outlook, Excel (essential)and Word, racquets reservation system)

• Basic bookkeeping skills, attention to detail, ability to prepare routine administrative reports

• Familiar with stringing racquets

Language and Communication Skills: 

• Excellent customer service skills, i.e. be polite, enthusiastic, well-spoken, patient

• Physical, sensory, and motor demands: 

• Ability to work in a standing position for extended hours, including computer work 

• Ability to move boxes and tennis/squash supplies on a regular basic
