Aquatics Supervisor

The Aquatics Supervisor will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will help members enjoy their swimming experience in our outdoor recreational and lap pools and beach swimming. A typical day for a Supervisor could include assisting in managing, training and supporting all Aquatics Department Team Members. They will also assist members through providing exceptional customer service as well as maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment for the members in responding to their inquiries regarding Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensures we have the highest level of programming
  • Opens and Closes facility and communicates with supervisor/building staff on repairs and issues; keeps documentation of opening and closing procedures
  • Greets and communicates with patrons
  • Takes attendance
  • Supervises facility during lessons
  • Keeps staff on task
  • Changes signage
  • Understands emergency response; documents any emergency incident and collects patron information
  • Conducts Water Testing to ensure safe swimming between classes

Position Requirements

  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer (or ability to obtain at onset of employment)
  • First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain at onset of employment)
  • 1 year coaching and/or swim instructor experience
  • 1 year of lifeguarding experience
  • 6 months of head guard or supervising experience
  • Lifeguard and First Aid certified
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs. or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment, preferably in golf/hospitality/service industry
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral), strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, perform multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently
  • Knowledge of proper food preparation, storage and sanitation requirements
  • Reliable Transportation is a plus – There is not a public transportation.
