BELLPERSON

This position is responsible for welcoming and assisting members and hotel guests in the entrance and lobby area, with luggage, groceries and small packages and any other needs they may express.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist Members, Hotel Guests and all other guests in Main Building with luggage, groceries, and small packages.
  • Be able to lift 50lb and place luggage, groceries, and small packages on a Bellmen’s cart for transport throughout the building.
  • Greet Members and Guests as they enter and exit the Main Building.
  • Perform three “sweeps” of eight floors during shift looking for Room Service Trays.
  • Bring down Room Service Trays when a Member or Guest calls the Front Desk.
  • Cover Phones when Front Desk Agent steps away.
  • Polish Bell carts on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Bellmen’s Closet on a daily basis.

The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training

Knowledge of surrounding areas for the purpose of giving directions.

Language and Communication Skills

Excellent presentation skills. Customer service focused and willing to anticipate member needs and requests and service those needs efficiently. Good command of the English Language

Physical, sensory and motor demands

Able to lift and move up to 50lbs., able to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
